Introducing Facebook Graph Search

Facebook recently changed the way that users search for their contents. More specific and categorized search can be done now with Facebook graph search. As the name suggest, graph search let users for searching their activities, contents as well as that of their friends. Yesterday when I saw “Enable graph search” tab on my timeline I was eager to experience new update. This happens to most of my friends’ timeline too. I tried to use all the search options provided and find just awesome. This is just wow condition for daily users who enjoy facebooking. It is a more robust search tool that’s being slowly rolled out to users. It uses the mountains of data the site collects to expand what a query on the site can find.

Look at my timeline after enabling Facebook Graph Search. A wider search box with all the notification icons, friend request icon, and message icon shifted to upper left corner. The way cover image looks seems different from earlier.

I am going to explore and show you what different can be done with this amazing update. So why do late, let’s begin the tour.

Search for peoples, places or things can be done using the graph search. It enables browsing the social network, letting you call up photos of your family in Nepal, restaurants your friends like in Kathmandu, or any public updates from Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal friends who like Chinese food, etc.

Below is the list of restaurants nearby me as suggested by it. And luckily Himalayan Java, my best restaurant has also been listed there.Facebook may also be using my interest information to filter search result. Take a glance at some of the search results i tried and imagine the searching possibility within social networking sites like Facebook.

I was willing to search about my college i.e. Prime College using graph search. Such an amazing result were found which i tried to visualize below.

At last, No doubt Graph Search have made our searching more effective and efficient, but it might also be the ultimate stalker search engine if gone in the wrong hands, which we need to be aware of. It’s also a little bit terrifying if you don’t know how to protect yourself. GIZMODO has reported on how to protect your privacy for graph search (Click here for article) day before yesterday.

Machine learning is another core part of AI. How to view which windows version I’m using?

Step 1: Press “Windows Key” and “R Key” at the same time as shown above:

You’ll see Run Prompt where you need to type a command dxdiag to open DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

After typing command, press enter and you’ll see DirectX Diagnostic Tool as below. One the Operating System option in System Tab, you’ll See details of Operating System such as Name, Version, Word Length and Build etc. In my case, my OS is of 64 bits.

METHOD #1
Do search with Bing for atapwd or “ata password” its part of the new ATA spec. You can enter a “master password” that will remove the “user password” that has be setup on the drive. This master password is manufacturer specific. So search your hard drive manufacturers website for Bing around for a list of master passwords. Remember you CAN lock out your drive. This is bad. You can always remove the password without the master password but when you do it using that method the drive will be wiped. So the only way to solve this is to find a master password or try and work out what user password was set on the hard drive.

To try out Master password for unlocking your HD you need to have Ultimate boot CD and can use “mhdd” utility included in that CD , it is easy and work well.

1) Download Ultimate Boot CD(http://ubcd.sourcefo…t/download.html)

2) Burn it into a Disc and boot it up.

_{(Use ISO burner. If using windows 7, right click the file and choose “Burn Disc Image”)}
3) On main menu, choose “HDD” > “Diagnostic” > “MHDD v4.6”

4) You will see a list of harddisk, select a harddisk you want to unlock

5) Type “unlock” and reply “1” for master password

6) Enter the master password.
_{(If it is wrong, ERR will turns red on the top of the screen, and You have 4 more tries before it powercycle the disk)}
7) If it is correct, type “DISPWD” and reply “1”
_{(There will be a warning if your disk is still locked)}
8) Retype the master password again and your disk is unlocked!
_{(ERR will turn red if the password wrong)}
9) Type exit and press “ctrl + alt+ del” to reboot your computer

*After step 3 _{(on “MHDD v4.6” menu)}, type “help” to get a list of commands and its function
**If master password not working, please go to reference site below and look for “maximum security” part.

METHOD #2
If your problem is when you boot your computer then BIOS password may be enabled. If the BIOS password was also set on the original computer you can always remove the RTC battery(i.e. Your CMOS Battery) from the motherboard and mains power from the system to wipe the BIOS password. This only works on PCs and a lot of new laptops use an EEPROM to store the password so you need to short that chip. That’s another story all together.

CPanel | History, Alternatives, What & Why ?

HISTORY
CPanel was originally designed as the control panel for Speed Hosting, a now-defunct web hosting company. The original author of cPanel, John Nick Koston, had a stake in Speed Hosting. Web King quickly began using cPanel after their merger with Speed Hosting. After Speed Hosting and Webking merged, the new company moved their servers to Virtual Development Inc. (VDI), a now-defunct hosting facility. Following an agreement between John Nick Koston and VDI, cPanel was only available to customers hosted directly at VDI. At the time there was little competition in the control panel market with the main choices being VDI and Alabanza. cPanel 3 was released in 1999; its main features over cPanel 2 were an automatic upgrade and the Web Host Manager.

cPanel 3 tended to be buggy and did not have a good user interface. The interface improved when Carlos Rego of WizardsHosting made what became the default theme of cPanel. Eventually due to internal problems between VDI and John Nick Koston, cPanel split into two separate programs called cPanel and WebPanel. WebPanel was the version run by VDI. Without the lead programmer, VDI was not able to continue any work on cPanel and eventually stopped supporting it completely. John Nick Koston kept working on cPanel while also working at BurstNET. Eventually Nick left BurstNET on good terms to focus fully on cPanel. cPanel has since been updated and improved over the years.

SysCP is a good replacement for cPanel. SysCP is an easy to use control panel for LAMP servers. It supports all popular web, email, and ftp daemons. It is available under GPL licence.
