How do I find out which version of a software program I have installed on my computer ?

To find out which version of a program is installed on your computer:

If you’re running Windows 7 or Windows Vista:

  • Click Start FAQ Downloads , click Control Panel, click Programs, click Programs and Features, and then click the name of the program.
  • In the Details Pane at the bottom of the window, view the product version.

If you’re running Windows XP:

  • Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  • Click the name of the program and then on the Click here for support information link.

Note: If the Details Pane is hidden, click Organize , click Layout , and then select Details Pane.
